IDM is one of the most useful down-loader available currently. Sometime while downloading large files ( above 5Gb or any large ones ) there is a lot of time required for the download to complete, unless you have google optics :) . During this downloading period many times the server address is completely shifted to new host server. Generally I found these things with games. In that case refreshing the downloading link will not work because that file now no longer exist in that server location. Generally at this moment people are frustrated and have to restart the downloading process but if you follow these steps the download will resume from where you have left it.
1. Go to the site and get a fresh URL for your file do not start the downloading process.
2. Right click on the file that you want to download and select properties.
3. In the property tab you will find the address bar,replace it with the new URL you have obtained/
4. In the referer option you can either leave it blank or you can place the webpage address ( NOT THE URL OF THE FILE) of the server if you wish. This is not a mandatory option.
5. Start the download process it will resume from where you have left it.
